Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
Well, K-79 is complete and what a great weekend it was. I want to thank the community for your help with sponsoring these men. Let’s pray that the weekend made a difference in the lives of those men. I want to
also thank the team for their hard work and the community for their continued support with volunteering
and attending Holy Hour and Closing.
The preparations are now underway for the K-80 Women’s weekend which will be held April 16th-18th. The
rector for K-80 is Cindy Hinsdale, who has been working diligently for the weekend. Cindy has chosen
“Remember the Lilies” as the theme for this weekend, which is based on Luke 12:27-31. This is what verse
27 states.
“Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet, I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor
was dressed like one of these.” (NIV).
Now, there can be some outfits on a Koinonia weekend that can show the splendor of the colors of the
rainbow in many unique ways but they dim in comparison with the splendor God has for us. There will be
no need for the candidates or team to worry because God will clothe them in his glory. God is there to
take care of all of our needs. Let us pray that the candidates on the K-80 women’s weekend will feel God’s
care for them.
The core board would like to again thank the community for their prayers and actions for sponsoring
candidates for the K-79 and K-80 weekends. At the first team meeting for the men there were 12 confirmed candidates and only 9 for the women at their first meeting. There were 26 men that went through K-79 and
28 women are signed up for K-80. God is Good! Please continue to pray for the team, candidates, and
everyone else involved with K-80.
DeColores!!!
